Recently, my family and I took a trip to the Rocky Mountains. When we arrived at Denver International Airport DIA, a friendly driver from 10th Mountain Limo promptly greeted us curbside and packed our luggage in the luxury Van. He then proceeded to drive us to Beaver Creek in Avon, Colorado. Fresh baked doughnuts awaited us, which we greatly appreciated, since we began to travel so early from Virginia.
The ride up I-70 was one to remember, with a plethora of colors ranging from dark green pines and orange and yellow aspens. Snow had fallen the night before, making the contrast stand out even more. During the drive my daughters continually snapped photos of the scenery, to post to their friends. It was great to see them so excited about natures beauty.
We rented a condo for the week at Beaver Creek West and could not have been happier with our unit. The condo located near the center of Avon, provided us with plenty of options for dining within walking distance. The weather was sunny and fall like during the day, with the temperature dropping to winter like temps in the evening. After a long, hot, humid summer in a beach town, the change of scenery was just what we were looking for. Sitting by the fire-place in the evening, bonded my family, as we drank hot coco and watched movies.
During the trip, 10th Mountain Limo was there for all out transportation needs. Dave Utz even accompanied us on a fishing trip personally. He took us to Sweetwater Ranch where we successfully caught a beautiful Colorado brown trout. My husband reeled in the fish but struck by its beauty, decided to let it go. After fishing, we took a trail ride up the cliffs to a view to die for. To end the day, we enjoyed dinner and homemade pie at the restaurant overlooking Sweetwater Lake. It was a great day in the hills, technology free. Thanks to Dave and 10th Mountain Limo this day was possible. He really went out of his way to create a remarkable experience.
We plan to return to Colorado this winter to ski and will not think twice on who to call to provide transportation and trip coordination: 10th Mountain Limo, for sure.
